Does anyone have any experience using a Figure 9 for their suspension? I don't count grams weight isn't that big of a deal, been looking into using these for faster set up.

They should call Figure 9s "Not Exactly Dutchware." Ladies and Gentleman, please welcome the NiteIze NED!
They work fine, but I'm not too keen on how they bite into and damage the cord, almost as if they were designed to do so.

I use for my tarp ridge line.
Tore up the sheath on paracord for winter Noah's Tarp suspension -- not impressed with the product.

Get some Dutch wares. Awesome and light stuff that really is purpose built and works well.

Well, Dutchware may be great, but...
that Dutch clip basically replaces a carabiner on a webbing tree strap....something quite different from what a Fig 9 does.
As we know
The Fig 9 is for use with line, can be put on the middle of a line, and forms a metal version of a TruckersHitch (ie 2:1 pulley) with a 'gripper' for the line.
IME, a little Fig9 is a great little tool for tensioning a tarp ridgeline. I would never use it for a hammock suspension as:
a)the small Fig9 isn't rated for hammock loads
b)as MDSH points out, the Fig9 can be tough on the cordage.
c)the Fig9 really shines when you need to tension a line taut
BTW, I use 7/64 Amsteel for my tarp ridgelines, and it holds up fine so far with tarp-type loading and the mini Fig9. I wouldn't use paracord in that application.
He's asking about suspension. Figure 9 uses rope. That's not good for the tree.
Yeah a carabiner is an option as well. You can also just pull the end through the loop on the strap.
I think this is the Dutch product that sort of compares with the Fig9??
(though it (only) works with much thinner line than the Fig9 can handle - which is not a drawback if you are counting grams... ) AND
You can't put it on the middle of a line...
I use a Figure 9, works just fine although it will eventually break even Amsteel fibers. What you'd get from Dutch would either be Tarp Flyz or Stingers. They accomplish the same thing as Figure 9's, but are made of titanium and don't rely on teeth to hold the line - just pressure. They also attach directly to the ridgeline, eliminating the need to use a prussik to attach a Figure 9.
