    Is this smart?

I read somewhere within HF about using 5 wraps through a descender ring instead of using knots as an alternative part of a suspension system. I didn't like the idea of having to manually push the running-end of a suspension line through a ring for 5-loops, two times over (for each end of the hammock). So I thought maybe a carabiner could speed it up. The line is Amsteel Blue. And yes, this supported my weight with no slip for a quick test hang. I have not overnighted with it. My question is, Is this a smart attachment? My initial concern would be the possibility of twisting forces on the carabiner. Is there any other concerns?
