    I'm so ashamed.......

I was so proud of myself. I've been hammocking for about 3 years now and took great pride in not accumulating a great deal of excess hammock gear. Today, I ordered a Speer 8x10 tarp, eventhough I already have a perfectly good tarp. I fear the beginning of a long downward spiral........

There's a stepped process that can help... or so I'm told.

I hear good things about them. But I'm too busy buying & sorting hanging & camping gear to join.

Also: I would stop buying gear but I'm no quitter!!

Additional gear can always be justified on the grounds of benevalence. If one is to have friends, he must have lodging for those friends when they come to visit. Therefore, there is a valid reason to have a "guest room", or two, or three, or four, etc. You know...Peace, Love, Brotherhood, Betterment of Mankind, More Hammocks.....

He went beyond that. He earned a Speer Underquilt for working the Speer booth at Trail Daze and gave that one away too.

    Now that's LOVE!

Hooch, you are the MAN, even if you have a gear problem!

Buying a tarp can be forgiven, but giving a way a Speer Winter Tarp...I just don't know if I have it in my heart.

There are many people here in our community that are generous beyond reason. It does me proud to say that I rub elbows with them here!

To mimic one of my favorite beer commercials: Here's to you...Mr. hammock accessory giving away man!

...and there came to be a day, all too soon, that I became aware that I could travel no more on my long journey. Though I did not arrive where I had planned, I believe that here is exactly where I am supposed to be...

Wow, I wasn't at TD, and hadn't heard about that. But, knowing Hooch I can honestly say I am not surprised.

    Well it's about time!
This economy needs help and we've got citizens like you sitting around not buying extra, or spare gear. Your friends and family are left to fend for themselves as you have no 'loaner' gear. Shame on you sir!

    So, what's next?
    Trust nobody!
