    TurtleShell - What's the catch?

Stats for Incubator and TurtleShell at 0F:

    Incubator: 73x44 25.3oz (15oz fill) -$261
    TurtleShell: 72x48 24oz -$240

I thought that hammock gear made the lightest underquilts... so why does a company that barely registers in Google searches seem to beat them at weight? I thought Argon was supposed to be lighter than ripstop 1.1, and possibly more downproof.

Not sure that HG ever came out and said that they make the lightest quilts. Nor do I think that argon is purported to be any more down proof.

Also, AFAIK, Big Turtle is no longer making gear, at least not since 2012. Not sure about the weight difference, although the draft collars and secondary suspension on HG quilts could play a factor.

I simply assumed they made the lightest underquilts after many google searches. It's possible that the lightest one I saw was a custom incubator with cuben fiber though.

They may very well be the lightest - unofficially, at least. Of the 4 main makers of full length down quilts, I believe they are. Though I haven't checked weights on EE lately - they may be the 5th dark horse.
