Looks like you would have to have the tarp higher to get the hammock suspension at the right angle or the hammock lines will run into the tarp. 20* is too shallow an angle.

Okay, So I went ahead and lopped off a foot from the end of the 12-footer (well, really 11 inches with the end seam allowance), finished the cats and pulls, and buttoned it up. Turned out nice I think.
I think the 11-foot length is the right choice - look at the suspension pic, the coverage from inside pick, and the end coverage, it shows plenty of coverage - without subverting the height or hang angle of the hammock. Enjoy.
