To Camo or not to Camo...

I'm not a Camo kind of person but after several conversations with Randy and looking closely at the materials recommended I picked...Drum roll please...The 2.3 ACU Camo. It is fantastic looking. I'm a total convert. The help I received you can only get with such wonderful people like Randy. Thank you soooo much!!!

I went camo, not to hide but to blend in for a more natural surrounding. Went for a two layer here 1.0 ACU outer and 1.1 black inner fabric. Although its called digital camo I'm happy surprised by its look.

I really like the feel of my new single layer 1.9 multicam vs the double layer 1.1. It's not quite as slick and I seem to stay put better. I think you'll be happy with your decision. Oh, and I really dig the look too!

I'd like to see photos of that.
I have varied camo items. Optifade, Marpat, Multicam, ACU, AP, Max-1 and woodland. Each seems to have its appeal for varied reasons and locations. I had a set of my gore tex woodland shells dyed quite dark for nighttime situations.
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the strength to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

It's currently being built over at dream hammock, but here is pretty much the exact set up I ordered, minus the over cover.

There are a lot of ways to blend. OTOH camo and black add that Rambo flavor... ;-)

I also prefer a more subdued environment. I generally go camping to enjoy the lack of human intervention and backpack to areas less frequented by others. When camping, I've often been alarmed by the bright colors or conspicuous nature of others camp sites, sometimes distracting from the natural surroundings. As I often like to camp on or near ridges for the views, I choose subdued colors or camo to have less visual impact on others and myself.
