    G'day from Tasmania, Australia

Well I found this forum the other day and have found some great info. It got me so inspired that only a couple of hours after joining I had made my first hammock (still need to make my bug net), a nice big 12.5 footer .
That seemed to be the easy bit. Now to find the "idiots guide to rigging" as that is where I seemed to have problems, although after the first attempt failed the second seemed alright and took my weight (85kg). It was extremely comfy and cant wait till the next camping trip to try it out in the bush which will be this weekend.
Anyway a bit about me. I have been camping as long as I can remember and 4wding since I have had my licence and through this have set up our family 4wd and camping accessories business. My camping covers all aspects from bush, beach and desert. We have a Camprite offroad camper trailer we tow behind a 2013 Nissan patrol. When not in the camper I use a swag and now with a hammock hope to be able to do a bit more hike in camping.

anyway hope to join in and learn a lot from here

    Welcome mate.

There is a few hammockers from Tassie. Nice Camprite too - I always lusted after them when I was using a camper trailer. I think I remember your name of the MySwag forum too???

Let me know if you need any help with the rigging, and if you haven't already check out Shugs video's.

I have a Drifta kitchen for sale on MySwag if you know anyone that wants one .

    Tas130 - I think I remember that one - I have a 130, it's a work in progress.

Definitely lots to learn from the guys on this forum. It's a slippery slope though once you get started hammocking.

I'll ask around for you but your best bet would be the Tassie 4wd and camping FB pages. if you havent already like them jump on my business FB page walkabout 4wd and camping accessories and you should find most of them.

Welcome gowalkabout, to the 'Encyclopedia Britannica' sized forum for hammock lovers.
Tons & tons of info to take in, throw out or use as you need to...
...plus they're a mighty friendly bunch.
Mountain views are good for the soul....& getting to them is good for my waistline.
