    Thumbs up Exemplary customer service

I want to tell this story...to make it up a little to Randy (Papasmurf) who is among the top-level cottage builders.

Papasmurf has set milestones on hammock setups, varity and order follow-up.

I haven't seen any threads about damaged hammocks from Dream-Hammocks, which shows that materials and work quality are solid. Yet it has happened.

My Dangerbird ripped on the top at the 3 stich lines.

I explained the damage to Randy and sent him the picture, asking him what may have caused this damage and what could be done. In my mind I was hoping that the damage was repairable, because I love my Dangerbird.

Randy reckons the damage to be caused by stress on the zipper leading to a separation of the zipper and the resulting tear. He explained that he now runs the zipper ends clear up into the channel and locks them in place which actually creates a much stronger hammock.

Instead of repair, Randy proposed to replace the hammock at no charge. Thats far more than I would have expected. I got my new Bird yesterday and I'm waiting for better weather to see it hanging.

So Randy is not only offering an excellent pre-sale communication, great choice and workmanship, but also an exemplary after-sales service !

I'm so glad I got to know about him

I have to agree. I'm in love with my DB so far and the workmanship is amazing!! Frankly, all of the products I've ordered from this forum's supported cottage vendors have met and exceeded all of my expectations! Kudos and Huzzah to you all!

    Re: Exemplary customer service

Reading recent problems with other cottage vendors only reminds me how happy I am I went with Dream Hammocks, and how amazingly well Randy has everything setup.
Really doing it right, love the gear and other then the wait (is what it is) I loved the ordering process. His order tracking is definitely best (only?) in the buiz.

    Exemplary customer service

The old was a single layer 2.6 taffeta crinckle 72/132. Randy stopped using this material, so to keep a similar weight/ strenght ratio I went for a DL with 1.9 foliage grey inside and 1.0 Woodland Camo outside.
I'm not into Camo, but these were the widest materials available and they look good together.

I delayed sending my Roaming Gnome back for a modification that was left off when it was born (built). I was going to have it taken care of at Spring MAHHA by Randy or someone from Dream Hammocks but I didn't get to go. Over a year had passed but it did not matter to Randy who just wanted to make my hammock how I wanted it. My Roaming gnome made it back home today! I doubt my hammock was gone longer than a week on it's trip to the spa to have some work done. Thanks again Randy. Your customer service is excellent! Peace, Two Tents and ben
I like refried beans. That's why I wanna try fried beans, because maybe they're just as good and we're just wasting time. You don't have to fry them again after all.
