Just wanted to drop a line and say "Hi" to everyone! I am just getting started in this whole Hammock thing!
I found my way here via YouTube, after looking for a way to sleep with my butt off the ground! I love camping and taking my 15 yo son. But after many a sleepless night after air mattresses have let me down, and closed cell foam os just not enough comfort for me.
I'm a big guy, 6'5" 350+, so I always thought I was too big for a hammock. But after I saw several larger guys in hammocks I decided to give it a try!

Thanks in advance for all the advice that will be given (even when I ask questions that have been asked millions of times)!

Welcome to the group. We once lived in the Joplin area, very interesting place to visit.

Lots of not tiny people on this site, so don't feel awkward. My daughter's fellow is around your size, I finally talked him into trying my Hennessy, he really likes it and now feels secure in it. The boyfirend was a ground camper until we converted him. Now I am working on his niece and nephew who have recently moved into their uncles house, they are 9 and 13 years old. We made hammocks over the last three weekends, great fun, just waiting for the weather to clear for our first big Hang away from home.
