Got introduced to hanging by a friend who was talking about it at work. We started discussing doing a hiking trip and I decided a hammock was the way to go. I have hung in the backyard a couple of times. The real adventure starts in 5 weeks as we are going to hike the Foothills Trail. Found this forum searching for tips on hanging and have found a lot of answers to my questions. Thank you.

Welcome from the upstate. There is going to be a group hang at Raven Cliff Falls just north of Helen, GA coming up in March. https://www.hammockforums.net/forum/...ad.php?t=88065. I highly recommend attending a group hang, even if you can only come for the afternoon.
