Have any of you used this product from EKORRE? I'm thinking of snagging a pair and using them on my ceiling joist to hang my hammock.
Thanks

the anchor i use in my bedroom bolts directly to a stud with two 2 3/4" 5/16" lag bolts and they're 4 for like $5 at the home depot. mine are like 40" up, leaving the hammocks at about 4" off the ground with structural ridgelines. five dollars for the anchors, found in the truck tie down section by the ratchet straps and such, and another 5 for the eight bolts for all four anchors.

The anchor points will have to be far apart for correct hang angles if they are located as high as the ceiling joists unless you intend to use a ridgepole to hang from as used with a Turtledog stand. Use the Hang Calculator to check out various anchor locations in your room.
Also, two of the holes in the pictured anchors will be too wide and miss the joists/studs.
After exhaustive research I went with bolt hangers and carabiners. Cheap, easy to install and allowed me to hang the foot end slightly higher than the head end for the perfect hang.
those look pretty good!! yours have a more professional look then mine i think. where did you find those?

I got the 10 pack so I could hang my wife and kids hammocks too.
Grab a few carabiners (I got in on the last MassDrop sale) and used some random ones I had laying around.
Got my bolts & washers from local hardware store and used 3/8" x 3" lag bolts & washers.
Stud finder, drill pilot hole, screw in the hanger and enjoy!
Word of caution: it is EASY to crush the drywall if you are using a big leverage ratchet or powerful drill. You can see where I went a bit to far one the first one I did here.
This is awesome . I'm going to install these in my cabin.
what makes these fasteners good is that they only require 4 small 2 inch screws to secure. Load is spread out evenly and when it comes time to remove. Only 4 small patches are required. I have these in every bedroom. Never had a failure. It's important to ensure that all 4 screws have solid anchors. .. my recommendation , turn them 45% to ensure good attachment.
