I am putting together an order of down from www.featherind.com . This is the same one Arkwater ordered from. The way I figured it for the cost of the quilt I will be saving around $40 for a quilt vs ordering from Ed Speer or Thru-hiker, so please do not list that as an option.
I was sent the following in an email message and attachment.
The following is the list of down offeredFill power range for down is 550 cu inches - 800 cu inches. The higher the filling power, the better the quality, bulkiness, life expectancy, and insulating capabilities. Take a look at the price list and specify what items you would like a fill power rating on and I would be glad to reply to you. The fill power rating of 95/5 grey is 750 cu inches. The 90% Canadian, Polish and Hungarian are rated at 800 cu inches. However, the 95/5 grey is a very good quality, with dense down clusters from older birds. We also have a 750 cu inch fill power Canadian Hutterite white duck down, Can 90 is the code on our price list. It is probably our best value for price vs fill power.

There is more offered, but I cut out the lower fill powers, I can list them if anyone wants. The 95/5 down sounds really good even though it is 750 fill vs 800 fill.
Any thoughts from the experts.
