Had anyone made a hammock tent?
Just incase there is nowhere to hang?

Any tarp can be made into a tent by using your trekking poles to hang the tarp and going to ground.

Yep.

Though something that's definitely helpful is to have a groundsheet between your hammock and the ground, if you're using it as a bug bivvy (see the "FL" in my handle to the left). You really don't want to wear an hole in your hammock on a root or rock overnight, and a simple thing like a poncho thrown on the ground first will be super helpful (and will also help defeat any water intrusion from the ground).
