I'll keep you in the loop. Right now it's also looking more likely than not that I will in fact hike south to Portland. It would be great to meet up.

Sound great chap. I'll make sure someone posts on this site on my status for those who do not have Facebook.

I'm in Weed, CA which is a little bit north of Castle Crags SP, which I believe the PCT passes through, if you take the hike south.

    Good luck and enjoy!

Awesome man, thank you. I'll have the SPOT on me during the trip and it will be easy enough to see where I am located during the walk.

    Fronkey,

Small world! I am also hiking the PNT this year. Starting in MT as soon as possible with the snow melt. I am hopping that is sometime in the end of June, but both Glacier and the Olympics have gotten full loads of snow this year as apposed to California.

Give that this is my first thru hike I am starting off with lower daily mileage and then increasing in steps over several weeks. My over all start to finish is scheduled for 74 days.

I will "Like" your Facebook today, there is also a PNW Trail Facebook page called "PNT Hikers" feel free to join, although I have not done much with it, yet.

My resupply stops will be: I have 2 ten day supply runs and several week long supply runs.
    Polebridge, MT
    Eureka, MT
    Bonner's Ferry, ID
    Metaline Falls, WA
    Northport, WA
    Oroville, WA
    Ross Lake Resort, WA
Concrete, WA (Rail to trail walk to Anacortes)
    Anacortes, WA
    Port Townsend, WA
    Forks, WA
And Finish north at Cape Flattery.

Also, I will be taking the AMTRAK from Everett, WA to West Chief, MT(?) or what ever stop gets me the closest and then hitching to the trail head.

Would love to talk maps and gear and the like.
I also have attached a PDF of my itinerary.

Wolfman, I believe there are stops at East Glacier and West Glacier on Amtrak. I might be wrong. I am so excited for you!

Hey there, if you end up hitting the PCT let me know. Might be able to walk a section or two.
