    Simply Light Designs Bugnet

I could use some help. I recently purchased a bug net from Simply Light Designs. The service was excellent along with very quick shipping. I ordered the 8' bug net to pair with a Grand Trunk Ultralight.
When I received the bug net and placed it around the GTUL. To my disappointment the net fell in on my face from both sides of the ridge line. I emailed Jared and he was very willing to help which I appreciate. He told me to put something with weight in the bottom and that would firm up the net and pull the net out of my face. My question to the forum is there any other trick to firm up this bug net so it won't flop in my face?

Jared has given you the best and easiest advice. A pair of sneakers works great. Edit: Yes good advice if you have a SRL.

I'm going to assume you don't have an SRL on your hammock. One of those would work or even some light bungee if you don't care for the SRL.
    Good luck,

Would have to agree. or you could get creative? maybe a 1 inch velcro tab to keep it taught. 1/2 on the hammock other on net? on both sides.

I, too, agree with Jared. I sewed a pocket into each corner and use them to hold things like flashlight, watch, etc. that also holds the net against the side of the hammock so the 'skeeters can't get in.

Why don't you have a ridgeline on your hammock? Any reason?

He does have a ridgeline as stated in the OP. But, I had the same thing going on with my silnylon sock. Jared's right. I like to use a full nalgene to weight it down.

Yeah it's kind of hidden in the message that I have ridge line but I do. I like the idea of the Velcro and the Pockets but I think I will try the weighted object In the bottom as suggested by multiple people. Even though I have bought a Dangerbird and Blackbird I am still drawn to my GTUL and GT Nano 7. Thanks

I just ordered a Nano Buginator from BIAS so can't wait to see how it works with my GT UL.

Any update on the BIAS vs the SLD? I'm looking to buy one of the two, thanks!
