well here is what the Duck Hunter Bivy tarp tube tent looks like as a hammock shelter..only the two ends where the suspension goes are open, but due to the zipper being where it is, I think it is possible to get in and out.... I am looking at the idea of adding two triangular pieces to the roof ends so as to give it more coverage...probably in Coyote Tan or similar.....
The first pic, with the side unzippered, the second, zipped up. last pic shows how much space there is in the shelter.. no bugnet yet. Structural Ridgeline is 128 inches for a 156" overal length (carabiner to carabiner) without Spreader Bars. I added the spreader bars and noticed it got WAY tight...so I will be doing some fiddling with the SRL and possibly replace the tarp shelter's gray line with prussik loops so I can center it with the SRL.
