I've stayed at campgrounds on several business trips, some have been great! And I've never paid more than $20/night, had access to showers, and best of all I KNOW where my hammock has been and exactly whose been on it. I've gotta make a packable stand sometime. That new stand Hammox that's made in NC would work. Not in my budget right now though.

    hammock in hotel

On a regular basis. Virtually every slow moving wooden boat traveling on the tributaries of the Amazon has long beams at the correct height. At night everyone ties their hammock up to the parallel beams and sleeps at the same diagonal so as not to bump their neighbor. Same setup at church summer camp and many other low $ hotels where I would NEVER dare to even sit on the bed provided. Perhaps there is a reason people in USA report more back problems than in any other country in the world. American hotels should install wall hooks as well because occasionally the hall and bathroom doors are to close. LOL

How about a link to that stand. Searching on 'hammox' brings up next to nothing...

No, I have not tried Hanging in a Hotel/Motel room, I am always very tempted, I have been afraid the door would collapse or the support beams would go. I just hate community beds. I bring my own bedding and sleep on top of the bed. I just hate the thought of what might have been in the room before me. Maybe I will try Hanging, I guess they could sue me if I wreck something.

Have you ever hung a hammock in a hotel room?

I just tried it. Doors weren't as strong as I expected nothing broke but I could see flexing in the joinery. Feet still supporting weight never let go. Wife isn't happy I tried. Expensive hotel. To the dog house I go. Pics on her phone will post tommorow.

I've thought about it but never came with any idea on how to do it.

I've never done it but am very happy to see I'm not the only one who has the "sickness" to the point to have thought about it.

Ive never hung in a hotel, but Id rather sleep on the floor than the "Bed". Who knows what's been in those.
