    Which 3/4 length underquilt

    Hi all,
I was hoping you could help me out, I'm planning on buying my first underquilt in the coming week and just need a little advice. I am looking for a four season quilt and am 5'6" so I was hoping to be able to use a 3/4 length underquilt without a pad because of bulk not weight. I have been looking at the Phoenix from hammock gear and the greylock from jrb do you have any suggestions or recommendations. Also I can't stop looking at the winter yeti even though that would definitely require a pad.
Thanks a lot I really appreciate any help

Also the reason I was looking at those quilts specifically is because of the radial baffles on the jrb quilt and the contoured design of the Phoenix.

Hey neighbor, I'm 5'6" as well and have tried a Phoenix and still needed a pad for my feet. I just got a short 20* incubator and it's a perfect fit.

Thanks for the reply yooz, why did you decide to go with a full length quilt?

main reason is that I have a problem, I am a gear addict. but seriously I wanted to try something new plus a pad under your feet can be annoying.

I am very tempted by the incubator but now I'm going to go and compare all of the full length down underquilts.... It never ends

Take a look at Wilderness Logics 3/4 Under quilt which is 55 inches long and 59 inches on the diagonal so it gives good coverage. Its a pretty decent price and well made too. I have just got them in over here in Australia and like all of Marty's products they are made to last.

Just be aware Marty (WL) has been hit by a severe storm recently so is out of action for a day or two.

    Have fun

If you don't want to use a pad, you will probably have to go with a full-length underquilt. All partial underquilts require a small pad under your legs - unless you are a very warm sleeper.

If I were to use a 3/4 uq, my choice would probably be the Yeti. I think it is the lightest 3/4 underquilt on the market (at least that I could find), and it packs down tiny.

But in the end, it depends on your requirements, that is how much money do you want to spend? How important is weight for you? Do you need/want a custom size? Do you want a specific color?

All the gear sold by the cottage guys is worth its price - the question is only, is it the best for *your* needs?
