Amen! That's why we go to work, instead of hanging everyday. Gotta make the scratch for the next toy. Let's see....I want a SF or SWT, or maybe both...which uq do I want? ...so many decisions...

Took a chance. I tried out my friend's ENO double, and decided it was pretty cool. Wasn't sure if I would ever use it as my camping sleep system, but it was great for naps. Now I'm working on converting to the hanging way of life.

I studied here and other sites but I am a quick study. It did not take me long to decide.

I read a lot on Hammock Forums before making my purchase. I was up in the air between a Clark and Blackbird but the huge amount of positive feedback on the Warbonnet swayed my decision. No knock on Clark, I'm sure they are great hammock systems as well but I've been real happy with my Warbonnet and OES purchases. It took a couple hangs to get comfortable but since then it's been great. I've found with all of my hobbies that doing research on internet forums from folks with real world experience before making purchases is the way to go. From past experiences I've found that going out and purchasing things without doing the proper research first usually ends up with regrettable buys. Bottom line is do the research and take your time before you buy and you'll be happier in the end and so will your wallet.

I bought an ENO double to see if I could sleep in a hammock and because it was cheeper than most others. After spending 3 nights in it I was IN... a year ago I was really considering the HH but after joining HF I decided on the blackbird... The videos helped too...

The thread on different set-ups in distinct price ranges started by HC4U today should be the single most useful informational post for newcomers that has ever been posted. I bought my first (HH) as a shot in the dark...I'd never heard of HF. It never occurred to me that my backside might get a little chilly, so, after my first night freezing at 50f, I found HF and made a desperate plea for someone to "make it easy, just tell me what to do". The responses did not make it easy 'cause there was so much differing advice. Hopefully, HC4U's thread won't get too cluttered up so it can be referred to as a simple, ready-to-use approach to getting started.

I'm interested in lots of stuff, O.C.D., but $$$$ dictates what I end up with. There are so many variables, but HF has been a great tool for ideas and info. So I fall into the research before purchase/ haven't purchased yet category.

I saw the video on the Hennessy site and said "Hey....That looks pretty cool". So I had some REI funds on hold and got a 20% off coupon. My Hennessy only cost me about 25 bucks out of pocket so thats what I went with.
