    Mamajamba or Superfly...

...for three season use (for now) in New England?

The doors look wicked cool for when the weather goes goofy or it's a little cooler than expected; and look like they might present some other interesting options like expanded awnings, privacy, etc.

On the other hand, doors mean more stakes, bungee, cord, line-locs, etc. to deal with and try to keep untangled, and maybe a more complicated set-up.

The $20 and 5 oz. difference aren't an issue to me.

Can anybody chime in with opinions on whether I'm missing something, or whether the pros outweigh the cons?

Totally (sort of) unrelated: go for the winter cover, "just in case?"

    Thanks!

I initially purchased just the MJ and later added the door kit. I'm seriously considering selling both and buying the SF for this reason:

The doors don't completely seal the ends (or maybe I'm doing it wrong?) and I'm thinking I may be more comfortable with the SF.

I would go Superfly. On top of the regular cold/foul weather related benefits, having the doors will give you options if you have to set up with the wind instead of against it and you don't want a cool breeze blowing across your face all night.

After doing a lot of reading I went with the MJ, but I live in the deep South. Based on where you live, I would definitely go SF.

    Mamajamba or Superfly...

Superfly. You can tie the doors back if needed. I recently added hooks and shock cord on mine for that purpose. I'm looking at an edge next most likely.

I have the superfly and very happy. The doors are nice to have and they are easy enough to tie back....A little extra weight for the doors is not an issue for me.

Superfly all the way, it has everything you need and you don't have to carry extra stuff.

    Hush-a-Boom!

Thanks for all the great input and links... I went ahead and ordered the Superfly, and the extra shock cord and stakes be damned.

The only thing I dont get is that when you want to open the doors, it looks like you have to clip them off to the pull-outs or rings on the far end of the tarp, whichs seems like a lot of work. What if there were a couple little d-rings or fabric loops sewn on where the doors flaps join the body of the tarp, so you could just roll up the door and tie it back, like with old-fashioned tents?

Uh-oh: I haven't even got the **** thing and I'm already thinking abut DIY mod's! No problem- my wife'll prolly butcher me for spending all this money ;-)

    Thanks again
