    fire hose uses

I was cleaning out a storage room the other day and found some old fire hose was given that failed a hose test. Turns out it was single ply hose instead of what the department requried. I believe inch and a half but not sure... I'm looking for some ideas on what i could or how to make something with it. The first thing that comes to mind is a tree saver. I know it's heavy and not very compact but i'm sure I can find some kind of use for it. If i'm camping out of my jeep weight isn't as much of an issue as if i'm on my motorcycle. So fire away... pun intended.

I've seen alot of people make knife and axe sheaths from firehose material, not sure how much of it you have though. Have fun

I'm interested in this as well. Being a fireman I have access to lots of old fire hose.

Yes, protecting your anchors (webbing/static line) while climbing if anchoring around rocks, is a good use. Protecting the trees/anchors when wrapping around trees. My only suggestions at the moment.
