With the mtns in the high 60's all that snow we got last week is melting fast.
Pinecam is still showing snow in the shade.

Woo hoo! Hope it only gets warmer for the hang! Lows in the 30 aint too bad though.
We are only 2.5 weeks away.
I will guess highs ~65F and lows ~35F which is pretty darn pleasant for mtn biking
as long as there is little wind or rain.
Wednesday the 23rd we will look at the forecast for Bailey, CO and and make the call to go or
reschdule to the next weekend.
Sounds good to me!
I've been able to lower my pannier weight to 8.5 lbs per side with carrying just a liter of water per side instead of a half gallon. I've moved my quilts onto the handlebars to get some weight off the rear and balance the bike better. My day pack has a 3 liter bladder and I'll carry my rain jacket and pants in it too. Will probably refine things a little more before the trip.

Wow! That looks great. How do you like the new seat?
Its a lot easier on my *** than the original seat. Bought some 50mm rise bars too that I'm waiting on.
71F and 20% chance of rain for this Saturday.
Looks like we will be able to scout seg 2 for picts of the camp area tomorrow.
I will try to get better pict of the parking area on hwy126 for the hikers.
That would be awesome! Thank You! Anyone know anything about the free car camping spots along 550 there? My brother and I are thinking of doing that friday night too then hike in saturday.
