We have been hitting the woods pretty hard over the last two weekends.
Thanks for sharing your photos.

Well it like a sounds like you guys at least had dry weather, if not the most peaceful. I am a light sleeper even in my own bed, so that kind of wind would surely have made for a sleepless night for me.
That looks like a great location, and I know you have talked about it before, Bob. I will have to check it out soon...
I was close to coming up and joining you guys, but wussed out in the afternoon... I thought it was going to be a wet night... never trust a weatherman.
Hope the forecast holds for this coming weekend
Wind can be one of the worst conditions for a hammocker to try and sleep thru.
The trees can sway the hammock can swing, poping tarps, etc.
Some of the things I do to sleep thru wind is.
DOuble check above the tarp for widowmakers.
Foam ear plugs. These really help with popping tarps.
Snakeskin your tarp and pre-place your stakes in the ground for fast deployment if snow or rain starts.
I usually place a rock at each stake or something to mark the spot that will help me find the stake in the dark.
Covered hammock, hammock sock, or at minimum a balaclava to keep the wind off your face.
When me and flexytoy scouted the camp area we did find a more sheltered area near the overlook however I don't
think we will be free from the wind.
Snow on the trail really is the only thing that would be dangerous for us because of the bikes.
I'd really like to try and do this hang this weekend unless a snow storm enters the forecast.
I believe most of us have light weigh gear for Spring times weather.
Saturday we have all day to make 4.5 miles.
So we will be taking our time to learn bike handling with a load.
Sunday is about 9 miles, mostly down hill all the way. Sleeping in a little
would be nice to allow the day to warm a little.
The wind will determine if flyfishing at the bridge is do able Sunday afternoon.
If fishing doesn't work we could do lunch at Loka's. So lots of options
What do you guys think, no snow or 50-70 mile perhour winds, and it's a go?

50-70 mph winds? Is that what you guys dealt with last weekend?
I won't be using a fly rod, but a spinning real. Easier to use in the wind.
