Can all that sell stop editing the original ad and removing the price. It helps to see the going rate of gear - especially popular gear to see if it is worth it to wait for used or bite the bullet and buy new. Please!!!!!!

I will have to agree with this, it would be very helpful to stop editing out the selling price of items, this helps the general public know what items are going for, so we can make more educated transactions in the future.
Tip, on threads you want to follow reply to the OP with the quote option...

I also agree. I do not see a reason to edit out the selling price. Previous selling prices is useful information.

I have lobbied for that in the past. I think everyone agrees that it is at least a little helpful when buying or pricing gear. The problem is that it is not a rule and nobody reminds people.

It takes extra effort to go back and edit out the price, so why go to the trouble? This is not an area where privacy should matter, it is an open forum where everyone is shown the price asked.
If you prepare for failure you will probably succeed.
This has been brought up, and shot down in the past. I expect it will be shot down again
Well i am not sure but if the seller is required to put the selling price in the title then he can also put it in his thread, when he sells something he can then swap out the price for the word sold but it would remain in the title.. but after awhile on here you get a feel for what things go for, and if you only have time to scan the for sale thread then you are not using the site for its intended use,, not saying that anyone here is doing that but we all must keep in mind that the for sale thread is an extra and the site could survive without it, its a secondary perk of what the forum as a whole is all about !..Put the sale price in the title..the title cannot be edited !..
Not that I disagree, but someones says " I will take it" and the seller posts sold, that doesn't mean it sold for the original price.
I would prefer them to leave it or more importantly indicate the price sold, but that may be a little far.
