Lunch stop. 77° out it's a little warm.
Looks like the boys are having a good time. I was in troop 36 from Orlando back in the 70's and spent a lot of time camping and hiking the Ocala area.
Everyone ought to believe in something....I believe I'll go set up the hammock!
Dinner of champions. Temp just dropped to 77°. :-)
Finally in my hammock, what a day of hiking. We had one scout who way over packed, throw in the towel. Sad to see him not make the hike. He was not having a good time. The old scouts (less than half my age) were on fire most of the day. Then the complaining and whining started :-). I held my head up high as I strolled on by. Temps have dropped to 65° now, crickets are out but no other bugs, that's kind of rare for this weather. I'll take it. I'll finish this report tomorrow. Oh we did 12.5 miles today.
Back on the trail. Dora pond is awesome in the morning. Troop 18 fell out overnight. I guess troop 508 will have to continue the journey on our own. we are headed to the road crossing where they will be. I will see if any of the boys want to slack pack the rest of the trip. They need to learn hiking is like a marathon you have to pace yourself.
We have made it to alexander springs . You're really starting to get warm now. We are arriving now at 1230 just in time to do lunch. The two leaders and two boys in our group have earned this trip.
