Finished my first from scratch diy tarp

This is my first from scratch diy tarp. My first tarp project was to re purpose an old cover from an easy up. This one is by the diy gear pattern with some 1.00 water proof fabric from the wally world bargin section. Not quite a work of art but I'm learning.

No idea about the fabric. Said unknown origin. I did several water tests tried to force water through it etc. It has a white film like layer on inside.

I just put an adjustable bungee on each end for suspension. Works ok so far

Nicely done. Whenever I see a DIY project I think I shouldn't have skipped home ec so much when we where learning to sew. I guess that is why I took the class though so I could skip it. I stole my moms sewing machine last week, step one to a dyi. I am guessing in maybe a year or so I will complete step two and buy some fabric.
