I for one appreciate Dutch's concern for his customers. Putting safety and confidence in the product ahead of making a buck are very admirable.

I would have to agree. I am just reading on this kind of stuff. I'm totally new to hammocks. I prefer to watch very detailed videos on how use hammock equipment. I am not in my 20's anymore. So taking a fall would not be good. I am in my early fifties. If I fall, it will not be a good thing, at all.

I have a set of these and I don't think I ever noticed a difference in the slot sizes. Have I just been doing it correctly by accident? I would also wonder what thickness webbing they were using. I've had several thicknesses and the thinner is a little more tempermental. I guess I'll have to look and see how mine are situated on the straps as I don't ever remove them from the straps they are on. I assume the youtube videos of how to use these are still available? I'm sure they came with instructions, but the Lord only knows where those might be now.

This stuff moves slow. Every design change requires two weeks to get cut and then I have to pull test it. I know there are many fans out there of the Dutch Buckles and I hope to have it done with in a month although I will most likely have to change the instruction card and that is another three weeks.
    Peace Dutch

Agreed. Too many business would have take the "it's only one incident" approach. This says a lot for Dutch and the attention to detail that he puts into his products.

Dutch, Thanks for looking out for us.
