The Netting I ordered from DIY gear seems much heavier (and stiffer) than the white baffle material from Dutch (and seems heavier and bulkier than my 1.1 ripstop nylon). Is it just my imagination?

There is a micro no-see-um called nano no-see-um, that is about .6 oz, and 'regular' no-see-um weighs in around 1 oz even. I'm sure there is a heavier weight one, but i've never seen or heard of it. it could be your imagination! or just a bad batch!! try and weigh a section. you can calculate the weight by measuring the surface area (length x width) in inches and divide by 1296 to determine how many square yards you have, then weigh it in ounces; divide that weight by your number of square yards.

Have gotten my netting from Skeeta. The 54" width is light weight. Like it because it is available in colors. Did my last nets in olive.
