So I'll have left over rip stop 1.1 from my hammock. How could I turn this into a hammock seat that could hold <150lbs. I don't mind using webbing for reinforcement.

You make a short hammock. Take a look at AHE's Bushman Hammock Chair.
I have one & it's great for hunting. Strap & buckle suspension for easy set up.
Love is blind. Marriage is an eye opener.
That's a cool set up, but I'm more in need of something like a minimalist chair - or a swing sort of shape. And is suspended from a single point. Truthfully, I just want to use it for tree climbing since my harness is extremely uncomfortable (In addition to my harness). What is the minimal width of fabric that could hold me?
Literally looking for something like this, except with ripstop 1.1

I got my wife to sew me one up out of 1.2 ripstop, 5 ft. long and channel ends with continuous loops. After a few uses, I inspected the end channels and found that the material was pulling apart just below the seam. When will it completely fail? I don't know, but I won't fall more than a few inches. Up in the tree, I wouldn't do it with that light weight material.
If you prepare for failure you will probably succeed.
