Displaced Maine-iac in Florida

Hello all.

I do not have any hanging experience at all and the last time I slept outside was in 1968-69 in Southeast Asia.
Hopefully I can learn enough before going to Illinois this summer to camp out with the Grandkids as they think "Pop" knows everything and who am I to prove them wrong.
I will be looking at all the equipment posts and reviews to determine what hammock and accessories to purchase. Any advice would be welcome and appreciated.
Top of my list is a hammock that I can get in and out of without breaking my neck.
Second is I do not want to get wet or drained of blood by bugs.
Third is comfort. My back is not the best.
Fourth is cost. Don't want cheap but top of the line is out as I am on fixed income.

My best guess is that no matter what you sleep in, it has to be a better experience than back in 68-69. You will love a hammock.
