Great test findings Schneiderlein I have been waiting for a long time to get these tested. I figured it would fail at the knot. I was not sure if the knot would capsize or the line would break. As mentioned, the legs to not have to be equal, but I feel they need to be close, your testing may indicate otherwise.
As far as the comments on the other stopper knots, remember, these were originally posted for "light duty" tasks to replace non-rated biners. As the WS came about, I figured what the heck, they are strong enough, let's try it.

The lanyard knot, as I mentioned is a little cumbersome to tie and why I discussed a more stoppers.
I practice tieing a carrick bend, then the lanyard knot a few times before moving on the the real thing on my projects. I usually use two separate ropes, or the tails of one of sufficient length that they essentially two ropes as far as the knot is concerned.
I can't figure that one out. I miss having Grog's animated knots show me how. Can any of you pinpoint that knot on his site? I don't think it's on there.
