I attached whoopies to my ENO hammock and an adjustable ridgeline. I made it too short, at first, by about a foot - got a tape measure and measured - but once I got it to around 101'inches, so comfortable. Cold though, since it was around 33'f laying there. So then I set up the continous loop ridgeline (i think thats what its called) for my tarp. I tied the rope from the ends of the Hex Tarp as it had no clips, to the prussic knots. The 4 corners had clips on them, so using some improve, I looped the rope around various objects, then through the clip, then tied it off to keep some good tension there. Its a bit breezy out tonight.
Well, before that I rigged up my HG 0'F Incubator. Seems awful tight - stretching to each end of the hammock to clip on - but I climbed on in and good lordy! What a difference it makes! I was just wearing a shirt while setting things up and after a few seconds I could feel heat radiating back, warming me up! I was amazed. Keeping my sleeping bag and 35'F TQ inside until I am ready to go out and go to sleep. But here are some pictures of my setup. Feel free to let me know what I am doing wrong.
I have to duck my head to get in under the tarp, but plenty of clearance once laying down in the hammock. I think I attached the points right as well, but first time doing this.
Not the best picture, but this is the clearance inside: http://s243.photobucket.com/user/pan...tml?sort=3&o=0
Improvised tarp anchor points (i think i misplaced a bag of camping gear containingg my HH Hammock and MSR stakes): http://s243.photobucket.com/user/pan...tml?sort=3&o=1
More improve, but the 'valley' in the background is where I am going to go camping this weekend if this pans out tonight. Its about 1000'ft higher up - so around 9000ft elevation - then where I am right now. http://s243.photobucket.com/user/pan...tml?sort=3&o=2
Attach point of the hammock ridgeline to the whoopies, plus the UQ hook: http://s243.photobucket.com/user/pan...tml?sort=3&o=3
Crap picture again (was using my phone) but how I believe the ridgeline for the tarp is supposed to be tied off? http://s243.photobucket.com/user/pan...tml?sort=3&o=4
And the burrito itself: http://s243.photobucket.com/user/pan...tml?sort=3&o=5
