I'm going to be purchasing a WB SuperFly and wondering what set of skins will fit best?
I'm going to be purchasing a WB SuperFly and wondering what set of skins will fit best?
I have a set of netted tarp tubes from UKHammocks. They're great
Well i can get a set of HH skins from Amazon for under $20. But I'm not sure what size would work for a SuperFly
Mountain goat will make a custom set sized for your superfly. http://www.outdoortrailgear.com/cott...orage-sleeves/
The HH skins fit my SF just fine, but most reviews prefer the Mountain Goat skins. I owned the HH pair before I bought the SF so I continue to use them without problem.
I don't have skins, but I know Mountain Goat makes good stuff. (Kat's wool hats are great, as is her customer service.) Support the cottages!
I have a superfly what size do most get for a SF. 11ft or 12ft?
since the warbonnet black bird ridgeline is 100 inches, the 11 ft ridgeline on the superfly should be more than enough coverage on each end of the hammock. Also, its a little harder to pitch the 12 ft tarp closer to hammock in the event of bad whether due to hammock suspension and tarp interfering with each other. I don't think there is a wrong choice but you could get by with the 11 ft and save some weight so you can carry more chocolate. Happy hanging
What everyone else has already said about mountain goat snake skins. I have them for my warbonnet mamajamba and they rock. They fit well and are lightweight.
