    Olive Drab Colours

Does olive drab always have strong green undertones? I bought some from ripstopbytheroll, and it was more on the green spectrum than my WBBB olive brown. If I want another brownish colour, should I avoid olive unless it also says brown? Is ripstopbytheroll's OD brown the same as the WBBB olive brown?

BTW, I'm not saying anything's wrong with olive drab, I adore my current olive drab hammock, just have a preference for browner colours that are more bark-coloured.

In my experience olive drab is quite a dark green. Desert tan is quite brown but it's kind of on the lighter side in color.

OD goes back to WWII or beyond and is a dark dull green...no brown tones at all. Olive Brown is.....wait for it......brown.

And the colors can vary batch to batch based on where made and the materials used.

And varies by shade; WW1-WW2 Olive Drab is more yellow-brownish than Olive Green 107, and OG107 is the shade used in Vietnam,
and then there's the lightest green/gray shade, that of Sage Green which on some sites is called "Olive" for some equipment...

You also have Olive Brown, Coyote Brown, Coyote Tan and Flat Dark Earth. (the latter 3 are all almost the same base color, just slight variance in shades)
