Section 1 of 3 of our recent hikes. We parked in Hot Springs and headed south to Max Patch to meet my Wife, daughter, and Mom. The cool thing about this one is that we planned to meet them at noon on Sunday on top of Max Patch, which meant we had to hustle, but it amazingly worked out!
Nice trip. I want to do the same thing except go from Max Patch to Hot Springs. We go up to Max Patch a lot since our cabin is only a few minutes away. It's a beautiful view up there.
Aim for the moon, if you miss, at least you will still be among the stars.
I like this section alot! The blooms on bluff mtn were incredible. And, yes of course, Max Patch is amazing! Plus this section is very doable in a weekend.Originally Posted by Grubartez
