Hi I have a hennessy hammock explorer deluxe side zip I'd sell. It's like new I only used it in the house. All the hennessys come with bug nets and you can buy the super shelter or an underquilt for the colder weather. I don't have a tarp for it but I'd sell it for $140.00 let me know if your interested and I can send you some pics when I get home.
Hi dlauth, I would check out Warbonnets website and Wilderness Logic.
At your size and weight I'd go with an 11' hammock made from 1.5 to 1.7 single layer.
The WB XLC or the WL Snipe with removable bug net would be great starter hammocks.
Both companies sell great large and small tarps depending on your needs.
I would check out Hammock Gear, WL, & UGQ for a very nice under quilts.

I've gone to find myself. If I get back before I return, make sure I stay here.
When I see lovers' names carved into a tree, I don't think it's cute. I think it's strange how so many people take knives on a date.
Formerly known as 'Brad49426'.
Might as well just bite the bullet and order from one of those cottage vendors.
Im back on the market for a hammock, the only difference is I am now in Washington state.
Until someone has another suggestion, this is what I am wanting still:
I am wanting either a WB XLC, HH Explorer Deluxe, a Dreamhammock ThunderBird or a Wilderness Logics setup.
please let me know what you have!
I'm only a couple of months into hammocks so I don't have a lot of experience, I've made four so far and bought a cheap one with an attached bug net from Walmart (great deal). I'm happy with the ones I've made and plan to use one on the CT next month, no bug net. If I were starting over I'd try the Half Wit from Dutchware and ask for the .5 oz no-see-um to keep the weight down.
Clark is actually having a nice selection of clearance items on sale now that include tarps
