flamingo (my wife) used to do dying for the theaters she worked for. Her suggestion was to wash it out and then soak it for an hour or so in the washing machine with a couple of cups of vinegar added to the preferably hot water. The cold salt water might also be effective but she first thought of the vinegar. That's where I would go first.
I may be slow... But I sure am gimpy.

Ah ha! Thanks, Rev, I'll try that! I've been washing it in the utility sink all afternoon, hot then cold, and the dye is getter a little less each time. I seem to remember the vinegar method for setting the dye in a new pair of overalls I had as a kid.

i think i got some of the same stuff from them, in grey. it went from a very dark grey to a very light grey. i've never had problems with the owf camo polyester or the black polyester, although the black polyester does come off on my hands some when i handle alot of it, but it doesn't seem to fade really.
