Proper to use Larks Head between two loops?

I have a gathered end hammock that has a loop already attached at both ends. I just received a pair of cinch buckles that also have a loop attached. Is it a proper application to larks head one loop to the other? Is their any degradation to the strength of this attachment?

    Thanks

loop to loop would be Girth Hitch, which is a form of larkshead, but done using two rope loops. I do not know the strength rating of such a hitch though....

EDIT, go through this website, and see if they talk about Girth Hitching rope and their load ratings; http://www.bethandevans.com/load.htm

Per this Samson document (cows hitch slides 15-16), this arrangement de-rates amsteel to ~85% of it's minimum breaking strength. This assumes both loops are 7/64" amsteel. The MBS of 7/64" amsteel is 1400 lbs.

More often, the new loop on the cinch buckle is used to replace the existing loop in the hammock.

I should probably replace the existing loop but was hoping to make things easier in the future if I want to switch back to woopies easily. If it's a safety issue though, guess I'll go ahead and do it. Should give a cleaner look anyway.

You don't have to replace the loop on your hammock--eliminate it. Put a lark's head through your hammock's end with the same loop that goes through your cinch buckle.

Here's a photo Ghostcat posted a while ago of a simplified suspension with cinch buckles:

Best of luck to you!!! (Thanks, Ghostcat!)

You could use a Dutchbiner to connect them.
