    Repairing mesh?

I know I could probably find this if I did a diligent search, but...

One of the mesh side pockets on my backpack has a small hole/snag/tear that I would like to repair. I have some mesh I can use for a patch but I don't know what to use to sew/glue it. Any suggestions?

I would grab a small piece of Tenacious Tape from Mcnett. Just slap a small pice over the hole on both inside and out.

If it's a real small hole you might be able to get away with just stitching it back up, kinda like darning socks used to be done. If it's a little larger since you've already got a piece of mesh to use, I'd patch it with that. Lay it on the inside, stitch all the way around the hole back a little ways so you've got good attachment, then sew again at the outside edges of the patch so that there's no loose edges to catch on anything.

Patching it with tape will always look like you've had to patch it, sewing with matching color thread and a piece of mesh that matches should make it mostly invisible.
