    Huggers vs straps

    Anyone know if the huggers come in the new black webbing? Also, I'm assuming the difference between huggers and tree straps is the number of loops, 1 vs 2. Right?

    You are correct. All my webbing products come in black polyester unless requested otherwise.

    Hugger=2 loops
    Strap=1 loop

    I never knew there was a difference between the two. I thought they were just interchangeable words. Learn something new everyday.

    Just hoping the nylon crops don't get hit by the droughts threatening the farms along the Pennsylvania/Colorado border. I was worried that even bringing it up might put a run on Huggers and Straps. My other concern is the likely necessity of having to buy wingless Flyz. The Ti wings, however light, will never match the incredible strength and beauty of Dutch's nylon Flyz Wingz.

    Same here. In fact, to me they are synonyms still. As far as the "loops," I don't know if they are speaking of how many times a strap is looped around a tree, or whether the strap has a loop sewn into one end or two ends.

    Rain Man.
    Me too.

    I suppose straps leave one end without a loop to facilitate buckles, while huggers need two loops to compensate for shorter length (ie: whoopie/suspension attaching at both end/loop points).

    Example of a tree hugger

    The tree strap has a loop on one end.
