    First Overnight Hang!

OK folks I set the Hennessy up in my back yard between a giant oak and my shed, easy set up, well made hammock. After a many height and tension adjustments (whoopee slings may be in my future) I lay in the hammock for 20 minutes, very comfy. In I went and grabbed the Super Shelter, on it went, and in went my down 0 degree bag, decided to spend the night! I think this may be a turning point for this longtime tent dweller. Update tomorrow, goodnight all.

Hope it goes well for you, sounds positive so far. Making me jealous as my Hennessy hasn't arrived yet.

looking forward to hearing how it went. I am a newb myself. I would say it took me about 6 - 8 nights outside to really get it tweaked and get adjusted to sleeping in a hammock. Of course YMMV but just saying be a little patient if necessary. And it might be a function of age to as to how quickly one adapts - when I was in my teens and early 20's I could have slept on the pavement at a Walmart parking lot.

Overall Success! Temps went down to 38F overnite I was certainly warm, had just the slightest chill where my body compressed the down in my bag, will add my thermarest to the foam pad from Hennessy. Had a little leg discomfort where the bottom entry tightens under load, will adjust to get this more comfortable. Really enjoyed the breeze and the slight rocking of the hammock that it generated, slept like a baby in polypropylene underwear, socks and a hat. Most important is the fact that my shoulders are pain free, shoulder discomfort is something that has plagued me for years no matter what mat, mattress i use sleeping on the ground, I am sold! Thanks to all of you for posting your experiences and tips!
