March 30, 2014 (Winter Wonderland in Sequoia National Park)

Created a video for you guys..

I"m in my WBB hammock and edge tarp. The edge doesn't do too well with six inches of snow on it :-P I mean it held up but kind of pushed me in a bit.

Looked like you had an interesting time for sure. Cooking in a tree , that's cool. These are the times we have to make sure that our gear works well . Carrying some backup sure fire tinder, a knife, and some fire making skills allows us to have a fire in the worst conditions. Warm fire =happy camper. Not much you can do about wet snow on a tarp other than shake it off. Thanks for sharing.

Nice vid, I remember years ago being in that area in June with snow. Would have been the mid 60's. Thanks for sharing, good luck with replacing some of the gear that failed. Nice to have it not work when it does not matter so much.

Looks like a good time. Thanks for sharing.

What trail were you on? I was listening, but didn't quite pick it up if you mentioned it - thought you said Red at one point, but maybe it's Round Meadow, perhaps?

I think what I'm going to do is carry 2-3 extra esbit even if I"m using a wood stove.

This way I can just use the esbit when the situations are REALLY bad. I can even use it as a fire starter.

2-3 isn't much extra to carry.
