DIY 11' Double Layer Hammock Tutorial

Finished up this Tutorial finally got it edited and uploaded. Simple DIY 11' Double Layer Hammock Guide. Used OD Green and Black for the two layers. I think it gave it a real nice look to it. Hope someone finds it handy..
This hammock is being donated to the Spring 2014 MAHHA Raffle prize pool. Special thanks to www.ripstopbytheroll.com for donating the materials for this build.

Your videos rock. I've built a few DLs but I still learned a bit.

Any beginner could build one in a day with this video.

Thanks everybody. Due to long hours and school, not able to really work on more tutorials right now so this will be the last one for awhile. I hope others are inspired to give the DIY a try and share their creations.

    Thanks for the great tutorial!

I'm trying to absorb as much knowledge about different DYI solutions to find the best one for my needs, and think this is the best double layer how-to video I have come across so far (same goes for your other tutorials)

But did I miss something, or did you mention what is the material you are using?
I'm trying to decide what weight/type of fabric would be optimal for double layer hammock. Above all I'm aiming for practicality, durability and comfort, yet not too bulky for hiking purposes. (I'm not that into all that ultra light "gram fiddling" )

I'm a newbie on this forum, so sorry if this topic has been thoroughly debated on some other thread I missed)

Also. Have you done a double layer with a integrated bugnet? Is the process same as in your single layer bugnet video, or do you have some nifty special tricks for that?
Maybe sewing the zipper straight between the two layers? Or would that be too complicated or in some way structurally impossible? (just thinking out loud)

I just found your video tutorials. I used to create videos for the state of North Carolina's educational dept. - and I've got to tell you XTrekker, you have a talent for this. These videos are well paced and get the skills and techniques across in an understandable way. Thats not easy. Keep on and thanks! I know I benefit marvelously.

Bumping this in hopes of finding out what weight/type fabric is optimal for a double layer hammock. I'll primarily be using it to sleep single, but will occasionally have 2 people in it lounging. So I'm thinking it'll have to hold 300-350lbs.

I was thinking 2 layers of 1.0 HyperD from RSBTR would be sufficient. I'll be taking this hiking, so weight is an issue, though I'm not a gram weenie. Any advice would be appreciated!

    EDIT: spelling
