Hello from northern Virginia

Hey everybody, just wanted to take a second to introduce myself. I'm Mike, live about 40 miles west of D.C. Just getting into the idea of hammock camping. Been backpacking and motorcycle camping for about 8 years now. Never really liked sleeping on the ground. Not sure why it took this long to do something about it. Anyway I'm soaking up all the knowledge here. Look forward to getting to know everybody. Thanks!

Welcome from Warrenton. As Silvrsurfr said, the MAHHA hang is the place to learn in late April - 1 1/2 hours up Rt 15N from you.

Thanks for the info guys! Silvr, I grew up on the Jersey shore. Lived in Egg Harbor Twp. about a mile from the bay in Scullville. Pappy, I'm in Haymarket. Good to know there are folk close by to learn from. I'm out of town the weekend of that event unfortunately. Hopefully I can meet up at some of the upcoming events.
