    new 1.1 feels slightly heavier

Last year I ordered a roll of 1.1 from magna fabrics in ACU. this year I ordered another roll of 1.1 but in MARPAT. the new roll seems to be a bit thicker but I really cant tell. Once I make something with it ill way it out but has anyone noticed a difference between different 1.1?

I have some of the ACU fabric from the group buy, and I think it is 1.0. Not sure if yours is the same fabric.

I have the ACU and the Marpat from MagnaFabrics last year. My ACU camo feels thicker than the Marpat camo. I think the ACU is more of a 1.6. As I weigh 270-275 I make my hammocks double layers and both fabrics hold me just fine.

I can not get an accurate weight of the fabric right now as my DIY gear room is being used by a house guest.
I am still 18 but with 52 years of experience !

Yep...the 1.1 ACU Magna had a year or two ago actually weighed ~1.02 oz and was very "light and breezy".

Different deniers of yarns can be used to make the same weight of fabric with the tightness of the weaves varying and sometimes the numbers seem to be rounded off.

Ok so just finished a 10' single layer hammock from the marpat that weighs in at 6.5 ounces, my double layer from the acu weighs in at 13.5 but it has a knotty mod. They feel very different but weigh the same
