Any way you could post some pics (you knew that was coming). I can't get a good mental picture of what you are doing.

I think I understand what you're doing, but why not just use a zip-tie? More adjustable and you can just cut it off if you need to change something.

Interesting point. I guess I was thinking about using the zip-tie as a sort of new attachment point for the quilt suspension. With the ties pulled tight, the cords wouldn't move at all and you'd basically be attaching the quilt closer to your body. Which, as your pics suggest, might really be a better way to go. Let us know how much difference it makes with fitting and air gaps!

Interesting. On a suggestion to Jeff, I now put the ss to my uq over the ridgeline in my speer style. Way better than going up the support lines, at least in my case.

Interesting idea...have you tried a half-hitch on the shockcords?
