This weekend we took our Scouts backpacking, for many this was their first backpacking trip. It seems that despite the spring snow and the washed out trail from last June's flood, the scouts had fun! By the time we arrived at camp the sun was shining, the scouts had lunch and set up camp. After their hard work, some took the sled and went tobogganing and others build a snow fort in hopes of starting a snowball fight.
My son and I were the only two hanging. It was a cold night (-15C), but we both stayed comfy and warm (thanks to all the great advice found here).
