What is best seam sealer for silnylon.
The only one that I am familiar with is Silnet. You must use a silicone seam sealer, standard seam sealers will not stick. I just make my own with mineral spirits and 100% silicone caulk.

Thin out a small amount of GE clear silicone II with mineral spirits. Add enough mineral spirits so that it's able to easily flow and soak into the pinholes created by the sewing machine. I always ballpark, but the mixture I use is probably about 1 tablespoon of silicone to 1/4 cup of mineral spirits. Make sure your silicone is relatively new.
I use MJS's recipe, or thereabouts. It should be the consistency of snot... not too runny, but not too goopy either.
I am super meticulous about seam sealing. A small, flat paint brush works perfectly for applying it evenly, neatly, and thoroughly. You can also use a little foam brush for larger applications.
And do make sure that you purchase CLEAR silicone! Unless you like the painted look!
Go to your local automotive parts store and look for Permatex Flowable Windshield and Glass Sealant. It applies quite easily.

Thanks the silicone mineral sounds like a plam.
+1 for Silnet.

And after having to have my auto parts store order it in for me, they now carry it as a stock item!
It was super easy to use. I used a disposable brush - one of the ones plumbers use for soldering paste.
Then just dust baby powder/talc or corn starch on it to negate any stickiness.
Another fan if Permatex. No thinning, penetrates stitches well, easy to apply.
