Well another "Hoosier Hang" is in the books and as always it was one to remember.
To start with the weather was absolutely beautiful, almost perfect. We had a great attendance, somewhere around 32 people. All of Indiana was well represented, as well as Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky and I think Illinois. We had small groups of hammocks spread all across Crescent Valley II.
As we gathered around the fire the festivities began. There were friends meeting friends, old as well as new. There were stories of trips from the past year. Lots of food & drink! Gathered Stones made his famous Campfire Pizza and steaks were cooked on the coals. Mule provided the sounds of the Aboriginal Didgeridoo. And as always there was lots of "Hammock Talk".
Home Made Hiker once again shined as the organizer of the Raffle. We had items donated by several Vendors which was greatly appreciated by all.
So, if you've never been to a "Hoosier Hang" you've missed a great time and your invited to the next one!
I can only speak for myself, but I'm **** glad I've met this fine group of people and look forward to seeing everyone on the trail.
