dangers & alternative of heating winter hammock trap with candlesd & pocket warmers

As an eagle scout in the days when we had to build most of our own gear, we often used tent candle lantern heaters and pretty much everyone had a pocket lighter fluid heater or two. We were always careful of ample ventilation.and had no problems. 50 years later I am smarter and have access to firebox insulation, silicon wrap and other features that will enable me to put a gear and skin friendly outer 32 ounce bear can around the UCO 9 hour candle where even if the entire hammock comes down there will be no problem except for my sore back. I ordered the ultimate survival tarp last night that has the reflective material. I have been burning the UCO candle with an aluminium foil bonnet for a number of night just to see what the temperatures do and hoe much that disperses the heat, So far so good, Further Testing will continue.

SO feel free guys to criticize or to point out the things I must be aware .
    Regards to all.

Would really like to see that beer can heater and the set up with the Al bonnet.

Following intently for results with numbers. And I agree you should take pics of your heater.

Me too! This winter I checked out the posts on actively heating a tarp. Looks like most people use a small wood stove, but I am so worried about melting my tarp...

Sounds good to me. It will be interesting to see if you post numbers. If you have a humidty gauge handy inside and outside the tarp or before and after heating for some time type numbers that correlate with the temp might also be interesting.

With my day job work load, it may be a while for the over can pics but I will get her done one day and post pictures.
As far as humidity ratings, since I am a brand new hanger-want-to-be, I have not yet begun building my hammock stand so I know humidity readings will be a while since I am told that two nights ago was probably the last -40 degree night we are going to see in Texas this season.
    Regards to all.
